Shops, restaurants, galleries, and other businesses in downtown Hilo are working together to present “The biggest and best walk-about party” from 5-9 p.m. Friday.

Events will be hosted from Ponahawai Street to Wailuku Drive, and from the Hilo Bayfront to Kapiolani Street, with Grand Central Station at The Palace Theater, 38 Haili St.

Start your night off at the Palace Theater to pick up your “Treasure Map” of participating stores and restaurants. Saunter through downtown Hilo enjoying fantastic live music, sampling pupus and wine from local vendors, and end your night back at the Palace Theater for the Black & White Masquerade Ball.

The Downtown Improvement Association is asking downtown businesses to help light up the town by leaving front lights on from 5-11 p.m. For more info, email events@downtownhilo.com.
